Since then, in addition to Indiana, 19 states have passed their own state-level Religious Freedom Restoration Acts: Alabama, Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
Another 11 states have RFRA-like protections provided by state court decisions. #1 Christian fundamentalists [which appears to be a slur] may be in serious error. Are they in serious error or not? What is their error? #2 Then you say "if I was invited to their cotton plantations in 1830" does this imply all those you consider fundamentalists are as slave holders? [Big leap]The Scriptures are clear where the poor in spirit are found [nothing new there].What I find more offensive to the Scripture is the tolerance of Evil by the Church and those who claim Christ.[Romans 1:32,and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.] [Romans 12:9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.] The more relevant Analogy is what happened to the Catholic Church for tolerating a known Evil and hiding it. As it became clear that there was truth to many of the allegations and that there was a pattern of cover-ups in a number of large dioceses across the United States. The John Jay Report indicated that some 11,000 allegations had been made against 4,392 priests in the USA.A major aggravating factor was the actions of Catholic bishops to keep these crimes secret and to reassign the accused to other parishes in positions where they had continued unsupervised contact with youth. The Children, Church and the cause of Christ paid a heavy price for tolerating Evil. Disregarding factions which have evil intent is a peril which many when recognizing evil accommodate or they are diplomatic about the management of evil. I do not believe all wealthy are evil, the Catholic Church has enormous wealth I do not judge it as Evil,it just fell off the rails when a faction of left wingers deviated from scripture,NO WHERE IN SCRIPTURE DOES IT TELL US TO TOLERATE EVIL!!!.Judging In the biblical sense is to cast into Hell, this is something of which we have no power or right to attempt, that in no way enemies we are to tolerate evil,[we are to reject every kind of evil 1 These 5:22] and what defines that???... The Scripture! Our founding in America is rich and not without fault but the intent was to create Law which protected those of faith from the tyranny of the few,not just the rich few but those who pursue evil in the name of modern thinking and tolerance and political correctness which has about 1/2 the population by the throat, which I reject and find repugnant. The Religious Freedom Restoration act which was served up by Ted Kennedy,Charles Shummer and none other than Bill Clinton passed by unanimous consent in the house and 97-3 in the Senate was merely to give those of faith standing in court for which a high bar was set.It is not a bill to allow Right Wing Nazi Christians to burn gays in ovens for which I gave you the audio to the full legal explanation by Mark Levin who I believe is not only a great historian but one of the premier litigators of our time. RFRA to me is more about involuntary servitude and the tyranny of the minority on the majority. Militant gays have an agenda and they are seeking out those with conviction and destroying their lives with a vengeful hate. The things that are happening today are deep and evil and cannot be pigeoned holed with cute poltically correct parrot slogans... I believe that Gov Pence made a grave error not being prepared to give a hearty defense of what he tried to do,and when confronted with truly evil intent of leftists in the media he graveled and folded, truly disgusting considering the fact a federal law pre-existed his states affirmation along with 29 other states who had affirmed the same through legislation or judicial edict. To my knowledge all Protestant and the Catholics believe the "Whole bible"is the inspired word of god,and I believe Homosexuality is a sin, that in no way implies myself or any other Christian believes they should be tormented, thrown off a building or burned alive, that would be ISIS.But I believe the scripture that is not any other sin should be "tolerated" or given up on for the sake of modern thinking. These are some of my thoughts and God Bless You!
